Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month has shined a spotlight on poetry’s important place in our lives for 30 years. This year, the City of West Hollywood will present a WeHo Reads conversation between two poets laureate who are each the first Asian American to serve in their respective position, free poetry workshops, a display of street pole banners honoring living poets, and a new poem celebrating West Hollywood from our City Poet Laureate.
